Watch for the sky

Isn't that funny.

In 2006 Brazil launched a project to renew its air fleet, called FX-2. This is a 20bn dollars business. 3 countries are on the run: American Boeing and its F18 Hornet, Swedish Saab with the Gripen NG and last the French Dassault Rafale.

A center key to victory it is the total technological transfer. French and Swedish agree but Americans say it is not possible for them.

The NG Gripen it is not an existing airplane, but a project. Swedish say that they will let Brazil have total knowledge and participation in the process. However, Brazil needs this planes in full operation.

Finally there are the French. They promise full technological transfer and support, plus they have an existing airplane already in operation. Brazil are really interested in this partnership. The only cons was that the Rafale had never been into real conditions battlefield. Until now...

You might guess who was giving support to land troops in Mali?

You guessed right: the Dassault's Rafale.

So, Brazilian gov postponed till 2013 its decision. Who do you think will be the winner?
